Vinland Saga, Episode 2: Sword
Synopsis
Snorre is introduced as one of the village children participating in a mock battle in the snow. He is shown enthusiastically leading his side, encouraging his teammates to hold their ground. However, he is quickly struck in the face by another child wielding a wooden sword, knocking him to the ground.
After being "killed" in the game, Snorre expresses frustration over his defeat, but his role in the episode does not extend beyond this scene. His presence primarily serves to illustrate the children's playfulness and fascination with battle, a contrast to the more serious and grim realities of war that the adult warriors, including Thors, have experienced. His brief appearance also contributes to the episode’s depiction of village life in Iceland, where even children engage in war games, foreshadowing Thorfinn’s own growing interest in becoming a warrior.
